Another interesting thing about re-gas costs is that the machines vacuum out to retrieve the gas out of your system before refilling, as it is so expensive.
But this then means someone regassing who's had a leak and at 0% will be using 100% new gas, compared to someone who just has a regas done as part of a service who may have 70% gas and only using 30%. Why should it cost the same for both these people?

It's listed on their website as a fixed price £79...Lanstrom wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 10:53 am If anyone is thinking of paying for their re-gas then try Westway Nissan. They quoted me £79 and this includes a decontamination of the system. They have confirmed this is for the new style gas (I had 3 different people confirm it because I didn't believe them !).
I got ripped off for £264 by a local dealer and nearly a month later I am STILL trying to get my money back despite Nissan customer services saying I will get a refund.

Although as mentioned in my previous post, if this is just part of a regular service of the air con every 2 years, then most of your gas should still be present and so not much of the expensive new style gas would be needed.

Hi, posting in 2018. I've just established this rather delightful expense after I'd booked my vehicle in to be refilled in ATS. They are offering to do it for £189 much to my shock but I've soon realised this is much cheaper than other specialist dealers/garages. Anybody else had luck since sourcing a cheaper alternative? Thanks
Read up.. Westerway is much cheaper. Nissan Peterborough quoted me £90 ..
