Where exactly is connector 54 please? Is it under the seat or under the steering column? Thanks!

So for LHD 2014 j11 models do you have any ideas where to find this M54 connector?
i spend all afternoon with a torch and i found pleanty plugs but i didnt know what the m54 looked like so i just took some pics. Hopefully someone can help me... the first 5 are passenger side left foot and the 3 last are driver side left foot.
Hi, no it is to be found on the right side. When you lay down on the floor and look up behind the handglove compartment you should see it way up to the side.
I show it in this vid:
As I find it to difficult to reach for making a proper connection I took the R14 connector instead.
thanks a lot lapalmeraie maybe if i took the glove box out of the car? i will try it first else i will go for the roof light also. thanks.
could you please take a look in my post on the other threadviewtopic.php?f=31&t=1383&start=20 and share your opinion?
hello again, after all this time, i managed to find some time for the installation yesterday!!
so, i tried firstly to connect to M14. I took out the roof light but then i stopped and i gave a try for the M54 again and this time i found it.
It is easier than you said above, if i had some photos of the M54 plug and photos of the location it would have been pretty easy. So i took some photos and i link them below for future users!!
i believe it helped me a lot because i removed the passengers side right foot - plastic trim...
Thanks for the photos. I would have never found the plug otherwise.
I have unfortunately connected my lights to map lights now.
I might give it a go and change to M54 plug.
It'seems a better way to connect them.
Thanks again.

Great. A bit safer I think.
Eventually you could lead a wire to black as well and connect both brown and black to a switch in the case you want to have the possibility to lighten the footwells while driving as you can with the other interior laps.
This is what I am looking at doing with mine just waiting on the switch arriving. Not 100% sure how to wire the switch part of this if you have any info would be very helpfull
