As we're in the age of social media, what about a big and bold facebook page dedicated to this issue. With as many links to Nissan's marketing and advertising high command as possible, so that they can see just how pissed off people are about their lies and misleading information. They say there's no such thing as bad publicity, but that may start them listening.

I can confirm that a Windows 10 phone will work with incoming text messages. When the message is received it asks if you want the message read or ignored. If you opt to have it read the message is read out and the option is then given to dictate and send a reply. It's the phone that's doing the work though not the car so there might be an app to do the same on Android or Iphones. Now I know it works on texts I'll spend a bit of time looking at calls

Luxor, on Windows 10 it works from any screen so long as the phone is paired to the car so no need to have the screen in the phone mode.

Hi I no longer use the screen . I just use the button on the steering wheel now. Not sure what the video will show . But it works just like it did on my old 2015 QQ from the steering wheel . I don’t no why it works but it does and it was by keeping it on the phone on the screen . Hope this helps .

Luxor, you push and hold button for few seconds and you hear a beep, then you say, call your contact?
As this is how it is supposed to work, says it all in the manual.
I think you seem to be the only person in the world to get it working.
Almost everyone has iPhone and Samsung yet, it fails to work.
Calling customer care in Australia they now tell customers (after they have purchased and found out tis faulty) that the feature is not applicable.
So I do wonder how you can make a feature work that is not applicable as Nissan can’t even make it work.

Awaiting the video as until then I dare say I don’t believe it. I’ve spent 6 months of hell with this car, doing my own unpaid work trying to find a way for it to work, where in fact Nissan should had fixed this day one.

Thought I'd see what Nissan's social media team thought about this topic. See what you think.

Taken delivery of a new Micra Acenta for my daughter today. I can confirm that the hands free is the same as it is in the new QQ. You can accept incoming calls using the steering wheel button, no problem, but you cannot make a call hands free or compose and send a text message. Making a call involves touching the Connect screen numerous times. This really is a backward step.
