couldn't agree more..
what duncho did actually was a life saver for me. you can do it yourself.. just follow the guide
Thank you guys, the funny thing is that I've already printed out these photos and gave them to dealer, they have been fixing this issue more then one week using mentioned guideline
After that I drove one week in a silence, but then this tapping noise came back!!!!
Probably I have to go back to our local Dealer dissassembly everything and check what they done....
Thank heavens I still have warranty )

Mate come to Athens for a ride and I will fix yours for free

it takes like 40 minutes with the partial roof removal. Drying up needs all night just to get rid of the smell of the PU

That's pity...
Could you please make a photo report during next tryout of fixing this issue?)
Thanks in advance!

It was done by Nissan not me. It won't be getting done again as I'm trading it in for a Mazda.

After removing the headlining they used a noise detecting probe of some sort but the noise transmitted all over the place so was difficult to pin-point. Previously they had opened up the gaps between the welded joints in the "D" pillar which was a temporary fix. This time after contacting Nissan, they opened up all the joints/gaps and injected windscreen bonding glue into the voids. Once dry this should set and prevent the metal to metal contact and creaking noise.

My issue was a bit different.
After 4th visit to my dealer, they finally found issue. One of the welded points of the roof stiffener broke off somehow. They've weld it again and now this bloody tapping nose gone )

Hi Duncho and Normander.
I have the same problem in a 2016 Qashqai. It is under warranty so I had it back with the main dealer. He thought it was some electrical panel moving in the rear left pillar but that did not solve the problem. Is the problem still solved in your cars?
The noise sounds like metal panels creaking or moving and I find it difficult to understand how pumping silicone between the panels would solve the problem as the silicone is relatively soft and flexible.
Thanks for any advice.

Mine is quite as well. It is not silicone. This stuff is quite hard when it sets
