I have several tyre pressure gauges of varying manufacture and cost, and everyone gives me a different reading.!
Mine was set for a full five people load when I bought it, there’s usually only the two of us so I reduced them to 33f and 30r.
When I start up from cold it shows 31f and 29r and it takes about five miles of driving before they show my desired pressures.
S.
The warning simply indicated the car had a tyre pressure issue. I stopped and checked both front tyres, the pressures were the same, I did the same about half a hour later. The warning indicated a problem with the offside front tyre as both front tyre pressures were, and remained, the same I concluded it was a false warning.

Glynv,

I note your response stating that the pressures increase as the tyres warm up..does the TPMS warning light then go off?
If not, my concern would be the effect of this on your MOT status...

“The TPMS is not a substitute for proper tyre maintenance. It Is the drivers responsibility to maintain correct tyre pressure, even if under inflation has not reached the level to trigger the elimination of the TPMS indicator light.”

The tyre pressure warning light came on for the front offside tyre again today, the tyre pressure is fine.

Back to the garage with it.

Our Hertz Rental Nissan Rogue gave a Low Pressure Warning yesterday. On checking at the Gas Station @ 33PSi, one Rear was down 3PSi added some air and the Warning cleared itself after driving a short distance as expected - Dave :D

I saw in paper yesterday that hackers can hack into TPMS to generate false (low) reading which may then cause you to stop & get out!

The car has not been configured with the 2nd hand TPMS sensor ID...so it won't know the sensor is present. So reading is zero as you see.
