Hi Guys,

My 2nd gen Qashqai 1.2 CVT auto box is hesitant on low speed to change up. It's becoming more frequent than before. At urban roads at slow speed it seems to change gear abruptly resulting loss of speed to move on and wait a second before picking up power to proceed.

Do I need to check it out at the dealer, as I have 6 month Nissan warranty left, its a 2015 model. Bought 6 months ago.

I don't know but DO take it to the dealer for them to inspect/experience, and also register your concerns in writing - so if they don't do anything immediately at least you can prove it was reported within the guarantee period

Has your QQ been serviced according to Nissan's schedule + at a Nissan outlet?
That would ensure car's S/ware has been updated.

This might be helpful https://autoexpert.com.au/posts/transmi ... clutch-cvt Very Aussie sense of humour, but it seems to me a lot of his advice is spot on.

Bob, thanks for that attachment that was well worth a read regarding the QQ with its CVT & now DCT Auto Box. As you mentioned the Guy has a sense of humor - Dave 😋

Remember the Nissan CVT is stepped to mimic a conventional auto box - they're not like a Daf (remember them?) or even a Prius.
