Hi Dave,

I believe they are XTrail alloys, but they were advertised as QQ ones.

Here is the before and after, not exactly pretty, but they do the job!

DGL75, thanks for the photo they do appear to be QQ Wheels but from a QQ J10 2007 Model. My preference are the Tekna Wheels but then that is a personal decision - Thanks Dave 😉

I was concerned about the ride quality of 19’ rims. Have only managed 250 miles since purchasing just before lockdown but not really an issue. We have some bumpy country lanes nearby and yes firm would be a good word.....but I believe that would be true of most wheels. Feels and sounds good on small amount of motorway driving that I have done.

Main worry would be rimming them, although there is a handy camera to hopefully cure that habit!

Peter, you are correct to be concerned about Diamond Cut Wheel Damage, but as you mentioned it is important to use the Cameras when Parking near a Kerb and especially the Blow Up Picture using “Camera”. These wheels are expensive but repairable to a certain degree and normally around 0,50mm (0.020”) of Material is removed unless badly damaged - Dave 🙂

Here is an Old Post which might be of interest : viewtopic.php?t=9271

There are now many NC Machines to do this repair job including now Portable Units, here is a video of one for interest :

Peter, check the tyre pressures, dealers sometimes overinflate.

Yup,you have to be “ultra” careful when parking with these rims.I reversed mine into a kerb about three years ago, very lucky to only get a little bit of “gutter rash”.

Pressures on the door plate are 32 front, 30 rear, 38 would be way out.

I don't have any issues with the ride quality on my Tekna... I was worried before I got it, but it turned out fine.
