Just want to check, I contacted Black_Rojer this morning and paid for map sd card.
It was stated in the invoice LCN2 V4, my car is 66 plate Qashqai and I believe uses the connect 3 system.
Will the sd card from Black_Rojer work ?
Nissan Connect LCN1 (J10) and LCN2 (J11) LATEST Map Europe
Yes it will.

If SD card works now - ALL OK.
This is normal. The update is not for the system. Updates for the media part. When the system is not ready to work with new cards. When there are no new icons, voice prompts and media files in it. If the media part is completely ready to work with new cards, a system update is not required.

V5 is v4 really don't ask why they call it that. When v6 arrives it will be v5. Haven't noticed much diffrent but only had car 3months and had original maps that were 3yrs old in it when i got it so it did a few updates before it was up and running. I wouldn't bother updateing every yr unless you do a lot of driveing around the uk.
Having bought a 2015 Qashqai new 5 years ago, I was annoyed to discover the map was already two years out of date, and there was no new update immediately available. I've eventually had 2 updates in the 6 years of owning it,
I'm now beginning to look for a new car and see Kia are giving completely free annual updates for their satnav. So 6 updates during the standard 7 year warranty.
This may well end my eight years of owning a Nissan and send me back to Kia when I change the car this year. Nissan UK should be worried their lack of continuing customer 'care' is going to lose them, um., customers!

A Tekna, because I admit I need all the help I can get.
