Update:

Just went on a local dual track...no traffic in front. On a slight RH bend the EB light and ding ding came on...40mph. No braking but it must have a higher speed to do that?

It appears you are correct this appears to be it. On checking the GOV UK Recall List at present this problem is not mentioned on the Official Government Recall List, but on checking our German KBA System there is a No: P9327 that has been raised for QQ’s from Nov 8 2016 > June 5 2019 which involves a total of 437,000 QQ’s - Dave

It does then look like this is not an Official Government Recall but a Voluntary Service Campaign Recall by Nissan as the Open Campaign No. P9327 (US No.) is what has been quoted also by the German KBA - Dave

I’ve booked in my QQ to have the update applied later this month. I guess it could’ve waited until its next service in the summer?

Dave... suppose I could say that something is verified by my service docs listing WAR (work...update IEB). Nissan WAR = Warranty, And suddenly it woke up a couple of times, flicked an illuminated symbol and did a couple of ding dings. Speeds between 30 and 40mph and only one distinct object did I spot...a 1mtr high-ish traffic island cluster. The second warning made little sense, No braking sensed by me on both occasions.

Confusingly the front camera flings a picture of a car park post and panic alarm if I creep up to one at about 3 to 5 mph. Within 1mtr only

So after owning the car for a year IEB wakes up (s/w update?) and leaves me wondering about false positives Nissan are on about.

A little further research and I gather IEB kicks in at 3mph and above. Nothing about distance. So two things as regards validation:

How do they test it in their workshop.
How do I test it without piling into a brick wall or rear of another car. The polystrene block gets closer....literally

So I'm looking around for what I need to do as regards detecting the "radar" emission (perhaps lidar) and nicking a big lump of polystyrene from somewhere....more madness for this week......

Mine had a software update in November to resolve these issues, but it didn't work and I've had 3 false positives where the brakes applied hard.

Logging to dealer again today.... my opinion is the car is unroadworthy.

I suspect that the update in November is the same one we discuss above. It is dangerous to say the least and it highlights the foolishness of certain electronics and software sub systems in this environment. They attempt a wriggle out with "you the user can turn it off". Enabling autonomous activity in this domain is a dangerous path and could head off toward Corporate Neglect...causing harm! The wriggle bit switches responsibility to the User....wrong!

The Nissan Warranty update reference is P9327. Ask them what was installed in Nov ...or is it on your receipts...should be?
