The problem is that the FIAMM battery having been charged for about 30 mins or so will hold sufficient charge for about the next 24 hours or more. Sufficient meaning that the RAC or Dealer test tool does not detect a fault/failed condition. The battery won't be changed unless the test tool shows a REPLACE notification to the person using the test tool.

So you have to call the RAC when the car refuses to start. The test tool will then show REPLACE I'd expect..as it did with mine.

The test tool will provide test results and is supplied to NISSAN. It will authorise a free battery replacement in the REPLACE case. The RAC man has the new Varta Battery on board...with him. All takes about an hour.

Had a no start this morning 😡 Clicking and flashing dash lights, phone call To Nissan Assistance and RAC attended 1 hour later, new battery fitted to replace the useless Fiamm battery. Very impressed with service from Nissan Assistance and RAC 😀 Not so with Fiamm battery.

Result...if the RAC can get an approx 50% battery capacity reading from his test instrument then you get a FOC new battery...almost instantly. Providing the warranty is in force...of course

Had my Fiamm battery replaced by the rac yesterday , it failed 4 weeks ago but made mistake of putting it on charge so when they came computer said holding charge car had only been standing for 12 days, never problem before as do 500 miles a week. Went to it yesterday car then been standing for 4 weeks, did not put it on charge so when rac came there computer said failed and wasn’t holding charge , replaced it there and then. Car is a 2018 plate
