Are the pioneer radios any good for an aftermarket if radio can’t Be fixed. Or would be better to get a 2nd hand radio.

Was it Nissan dealer which upgraded your NC with Dxxx firmware?

Yes radio was playing up by tuning off and on and trying start. Phoned Nissan dealer said yes has been issue reported with DAB not working correctly with the new signal update on DAB transmissions so radio needed to be updated. Took in and left with what I put earlier. They couldn't get it to fully install as said gets to 35% and turns off.

Disconnect the DAB aerial at the back, we were told just before the update came out to disconnect DAB antenna to prevent the restarting

Sorry to say that didn’t work either. Still gets to 35% and turns off.

This is probably a unit thats beyond a software update...Faulty. Only other option is the firmware being loaded is corrupt/wrong. Most of what we see on this site are self updates or dealer (FOC) performed and commonly successful.

The usual error is periodic ICE freezes and reboots...most likely related to the DAB radio and incoming Traffic Notification processing. In any case it simply crashes indicating poor process handling.

Frankly I would prefer DAB to be removed...it is generally crap in a car at near ground level. I think the inadequacy of DAB as such is leading to the retention of VHF FM transmitters in UK. Thats what I have to use if I can find a non pop or marxist type BBC station. USB stick after that..... :roll:

Found version. Garage tried to update unit but only gets to 35% then turns off again. Managed to find version and is D605 which they put in. So nut sure what to do next waiting on Nissan and Garage to come back to me.
Try to downgrade to D302 or D503, but follow the upgrade procedure

Hi everybody. I have a Qashqai J11 from 2015 and cames with D300 firmware.
Can someone tell me which improvement I get with the new D605 firmware ?
Can I upgrade directly to D605 from D300 or I have to pass through D502, D554 and then D605 ?
