Hi, and thanks for welcoming me to the forum, having a problem with my qashqai 2008 1.5 I think my drivers window motor is playing up as the window won't go up and down unless I hold it down for ages then it will go down and up now and again and the motor gets very hot if I touch it is that normal ? Plus the window lock button for rear windows stopped working at the same time is this linked to the same motor? If so can I just change the motor it's self without have to remove the regulator as well.? All the help would be appreciated thanks

Its pretty difficult to diagnose that problem. The Power Window system is fairly complex. System CPU, Motor, Encoder, Driver Door Switch matrix and so on. You probably need to inspect the mechanics of the window system and the motor itself...simplest approach first.

Can I just change the motor or is it all part of the regulator?.

From the diagnosis document its difficult to say. Not sure if the motor and encoder are separates. Check the document yourself..as attached:
