So, Lookers Leeds have reminded me car is due a prepaid service. Won’t provide a courtesy car due to ‘government advice’ yet as far as I’m concerned it’s contractual so they’re in breach of contract . Skoda had no problem last week in providing me with a courtesy car for 1 of our other cars for a prepaid service. Yes yes yes. Fully understand and accept the covid issue but I’m getting ready to drop off this human race if I have to be a hermit. I can’t realistically do a drop off as I’m now retired following a brain haemorrhage so stuffed all ways. Soz If I come across as negative cos I realise I am and frankly totally p)we’d off

I had my Ignis serviced mid-June - they said they couldn't provide a courtesy car either - but then I find it easier just to wait while the service is done - it would take me almost as long as driving home and back again.

I recently had my Qashqai serviced at a Nissan dealer.
As a very regular customer - they know that I need a courtesy car , and am will to pay if required , but alas they were not allowing such a service either.
Also , no wash n vac as the carwash team had not returned to work.
Still , I dont mind that as I avoid a car wash when you see how its done !

Depending on how close you live to the dealer...
As you are probably are or were shielding due to your unfortunate ill health perhaps there’s an option where they collect your car, avoiding the risk of using a multi-user vehicle.
Perhaps they would cover the cost of a taxi ?

I imagine that they are breaking their contract with you but I would put money on them being able to successfully argue that there are currently "special circumstances" which absolves them of their responsibility.

Hi All, quick poll if I may. I use a main Nissan dealership and have dealt with them for almost 5 years now. Im the past I have always been given a free courtesy car if in for warranty work or a service. Im heading in tomorrow for a warranty job and this time they have said it will be £15 a day for the Insurance. Nissan.co.uk states for an extra £5 excess can be reduced to £0 otherwise its £250 I would have to pay if any damage is caused. Has anyone else been told of this nationwide of maybe this is just an Aberdeen thing to get extra cash in.

Nissan Newbury used to charge £10 for the insurance, may have gone up since.
Only had a clapped out Micra when I used.

Just checked our Service Docs On our Old QQ and here in Berlin the norm was : Pro Km €0,18 / €15,13 for Insurance Liability but depending on the Service Guy “Wink Wink” it sometimes was Free and registered as a “Test Drive” 😁
Here are a few attachments that might help but very little stated on charges, perhaps it is left up to the Dealer for “Customer Satisfaction” - Dave 😉

Not Nissan but my dealer offers the following options:

I must admit I usually just arrange a "while you wait" service since a friend of mine lives close by.

Many Thanks all, it turns out the fee reduces the excess, however when pushed you don't have to pay it. It means I'm liable for the full excess which is fine as I have my own annual policy that covers hired/loan car excess up to £6000.
