See I got them to do the software update to DS605 but on the way home from my MOT it cut out twice again I’m hoping it was a one off thing if not looks like I’ll have fun getting it fixed

Did that cut out (no sound) on a DAB channel or was it USB mp3 stuff?Christopher3008 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 2:03 pm See I got them to do the software update to DS605 but on the way home from my MOT it cut out twice again I’m hoping it was a one off thing if not looks like I’ll have fun getting it fixed
DAB will cut out and is dependant on signal quality. A reboot is a serious issue.

Don't think BT has been responsible for crashes (reboots) so you may have experienced simple BT comms slip up. Too many variables as regards the phone and the head unit and whats in between...over the air.Christopher3008 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 2:11 pmWas using Bluetooth audio listening away one minute the music then stopped for about 2 seconds lost connection all together to my phone then reconnected and started playing againcalnorth wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 2:09 pmDid that cut out (no sound) on a DAB channel or was it USB mp3 stuff?Christopher3008 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 2:03 pm See I got them to do the software update to DS605 but on the way home from my MOT it cut out twice again I’m hoping it was a one off thing if not looks like I’ll have fun getting it fixed

I've had an SDcard mp3 sudden drop out...trouble is I can't remember the title of the mp3? Am waiting for a repeat...a month later so far.

Yeah I was on the bypass in Aberdeen which is fairly new so I’m hoping it was just that I’ll find out next time I drive for a longer period of time it didn’t reboot as such just sort of stops for a couple seconds then loses Bluetooth connection then just reconnects it’s really strange as you said hopefully just a blip
Hi guys
I’m experiencing the exact same problem of the audio system cutting out on a regular basis. I have searched for the firmware update on here as suggested but can’t seem to locate it. Does anyone have a link to this? Sorry to be a pain in the backside.

Ok brill, thank you Andy! I’ll get on it this week. Hopefully it works.
I was driving home today and played a CD and it cut out a few times on a shortish journey....I then switched from the DAB radio to FM (I’ve read that this may help) and it didn’t cut out. Don’t want to do this though as I won’t be able to listen to LBC whilst driving.
I’ll let you know how I get on. Thanks once again fir directing me to the correct place!

DAB is like a mobile phone signal. Never very good in some areas..JohnDavid wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 7:28 pm Ok brill, thank you Andy! I’ll get on it this week. Hopefully it works.

I know it’s a very late reply, but there’s been some progress....I had the diagnostics done at the dealer at a price of £109 and they did the update ‘free of charge’. I questioned the diagnostics fee with Nissan Customer Services and argued the fact why I shouldn’t have to pay and I’d like it refunded. They emailed to say I wouldn’t be getting a refund. I reluctantly accepted this decision but was happy the fix was done. Fast forward a few weeks, I get an email from Customer Services to say I’d be getting a refund of the £109. No reason why they overturned the decision, but I’m still awaiting a response. Obviously very happy with the decision. For those with the same issue, keep on complaining...it helps them to admit the problem is theirs and a fix shouldn’t have to come out of the customers pocket.
