Can anyone tell me if this is how the floor studs are supposed to be/look?
Do I have to take that ring off the stud or is it supposed to be there?

I have a gut feeling I have to take off that ring on the studs but I dont' want to if it's factory fitted or if it will damage the car

I think that you have to remove that Ring and then you can Pop the other part onto it. Try lifting it by putting a thin wide screwdriver or steel rule under it and lifting it gradually or as mentioned pop down to Nissan to clarify the problem if you are uneasy - Dave
