My Qashqai has recently started squealing under acceleration, it first happened during the cold snap and i assumed was the drive belt slipping. But since then it has got worse (as when started happening, as the engine warmed up, noise went away), as the noise now happens all the time when driving.
I have just had the drive belt replaced, but the noise is still there. It only happens when driving, if in neutral at high revs with all electrical on etc to give it a load, no noise. Pull out of my drive way and starts.
If i accelerate very slowly i cant hear it, but soon as apply normal acceleration or go up a hill then its extremely noticeable.
The noise does seem like a 'Squeal' which is why i thought about the drive belt. The mechanic listened whilst i drove up and down and thinks its coming from the passenger front side.
Any ideas???
