Qashqai Model: Mk.3 Qashqai - J12 (2021+) New Model

Hi All,

I am looking at Auto diesel Qashqai's in N-Connecta spec.

I have seen 2016/17 pre facelifts for around £10k apposed to 2017/18 facelifts for around £14-15k.

What are the real main differences between them part of me is thinking save some money and go for pre face lift but then would I be loosing out on much?

Thanks.

Hi Luke, I have a facelift 2018 N Connecta And previously a 2014 accenta premium. The only difference that i can see is 2018 "D" shaped steering wheel and the handsfree call button has been disabled (god knows why) the infotainment screen is the same but now called evo7 early facelift cars had this but I believe later ones have the new system with android auto and apple carplay. Oh nearly forgot sharks fin aerial and fog lights reshaped and slightly lower in front bumper

Hope this helps a bit Regards Bill

See you've had a diesel and the 1.2 petrol how do you find the MPG in comparison?

I've got the 2018 tekna facelift model and there are very little differences like dafman said, the steering wheel looks a bit better, it wwasn't until 2019/2020 models that got carplay I believe I know mine doesn't have it 😭, best economy I've had out of mine was 76mpg on the motorway.

Depending how much your looking to spend you could get one of the 2019/2020 on a good deal when the new model is released, no doubt they will try to get rid of as much as they can, im not sure which model it starts from but if you put an after market headunit in you would lose your park assist as well.

Hi Luke, just as a comparison on looks here is the J11 & Facelifted J11B. There are obviously also internal and external improvement changes which need to be compared if you can get hold of them (Gloucester might help here) - Dave 😉

This is J11B related : There are four engine options on offer – two petrols and two diesels. Petrol power comes from a 1.3-litre DIG-T unit with either 138bhp or 158bhp, while diesels are 1.5-litre and 1.7-litre units with 114bhp and 148bhp respectively. If you want to stay diesel, you can ; a 114bhp 1.5-litre DCI is the running cost champion, dipping as low as 100g/km of CO2, while in 2019 there’ll be a 148bhp 1.7-litre if you’d prefer a bit more performance and that’ll the only Qashqai to offer all-wheel drive. The rest are front-driven. I believe that Diesels have now been dropped.

If you're covering 10,000 miles a year and want a best-selling Nissan Qashqai, then a petrol model will cost you less over three years. Drive 15,000 miles a year, though, and the efficiency of the diesel engine makes up for the higher price - just - making this model the cheapest option.
