Hi everyone,

Since my car was made in July 2018 I do not have carplay wireless or wired.
Is there any way to get this without changing the unit to a 3rd party?

I've seen some videos on youtube on different brands where they just change the USB connector in the car to a different one and get carplay.

Appreciate all the tips I can get on this.

Thank you.

Further to the last reply.

You CAN replace the head unit with a newer Nissan head unit so technically that's not going to a "third party" headunit - but it's still very involved, and not what I thought the querier meant.

Well as the TS asked "without changing to a 3d party" I understand that he wants a plug and play solution.
Yes you can swap to a higher Connect (non SD) version or the a 3d party, but non of them are juste as simple as plugging a usb dongle in.
So I remain on the "you can't for this QQ version..." ;)

I’ve just been reading a review about the Intellidash and also its Pro version which are “both chunky, 7-inch displays which are designed to sit on your dashboard.”

You will be stuck with a cable or two as well, trailing around the dashboard? :? ;)

Intellidash Pro is an easy way to get CarPlay in older vehicles

This reviewer has a Nissan (US model) and you can see their Connect screen in the pictures and the Intelllidash system on the dashboard - more like an old GPS/SatNav system which you can affix to the windscreen.
