Hi,

My Nissan Qashqai 2011 displays a red check engine light and traction lights appear when the car comes to a standstill or low speed for example stopping in traffic queue, approaching a round about or stopped at traffic lights.
The car starts up okay and drives fine.
When I restart the car lights goes off, the lights do not always come on when driving, they appear only appear some times .
The Nissan dealer had a look and said its most likely to be the glow plug as when he checked the p0380 error codd was current and the other codes were past.
He recommended getting the glow plugs and timers changed. The fuel has gone down a little too.

I used fuel injector cleaner and dpf cleaner, which made no difference.

He said the soot emission reading were normal so unlike to be the dpf.

Do you agree or could it be some thing else?

Hi there,

Can you please let me know, what was triggering that error as I actually have the same symptoms :(

Blocked exhaust sensor pipe normally gives you the 2 warnings. Plenty of info about it on this site just search

do not know ... I have done something to my car and had the battery off for a while, as far as I know, the codes should be erased by doing that ... but the lights are coming on and off (on while I m stationary) and once I m turning the engine off and back on again the lights are not there, they will not come back if I m driving let's say on a motorway

takeing the batt off won`t remove codes. get a code reader plugged in and see what the codes are, then erase them and see what happens

they were erased but are coming back ... when the car is stationary I have a really high pressure on the pressure pipe (I took the sensor off to see) and low pressure before the dpf ( dpf had a chemical wash, so is clear anyway) ... I will like to mention that I had a manifold gasket changed.

Before they changed the manifold gasket, the car was running well.

I'd take it back and get them to check over the gasket that they fitted. If the car was trouble free before then.
