Who issues the TB seen in this thread?
I recently talked to my dealer here in Sweden as i think my QQ 1.2 eats oli in an abnormal way.
The dealer said that the TB is not any official Nissan bulletin and that it's issued by nerds that have found some small tolerance deviations explaining a quite normal oil consumption from these engines.

Recalls are usually only carried out for safety reasons - and a failing engine isn't one of those. However from early on a software upgrade was in place and I suspect mine might have had that since it used no oil at all. That would have possibly at some dealers been done routinely at a service. Guessing here though.

The 1.2 that I had until last year also had the software upgrade but at 26000 miles I noticed it had started to use more oil. Not a great deal but more than when I bought it (6400 mls.) I cannot say if it was one of the dodgy engines as I replaced it with a 1.3 dig-t which has been great. Sorry to say I could not stand the worry of possibly a new engine.
I have been looking at the DVLA site and my ex car is no longer listed as a current registration. I know this may be for many reasons. Change of reg, taken abroad, written off from accident or engine failed and was not worth replacing. I made the right choice.

the French legal action is not yet accessible for other nationalities, but the association of victims recently created YES.
