My key doesn't seem to want to connect to the car without a press on the key.
I press the door button with the keys in the pocket - it doesn't respond.
20% of the time I can't just press the start button - it says key not recognised.

I've got 2 keys.
I've changed the battery twice now.
The batteries from from Lidl - but they were brand new.

What should I do?

Thanks.

Next thing I would suggest is buying some Duracell or similar premium branded batteries. It is common for el-cheapo batteries to not be good enough to power things like this even straight out of the packet. Also do a double check there's no plastic film on the battery.

Interesting you say that I had mine changed by dealer after getting poor connectivity and errors on dashboard. The errors have stopped but still have to get really close to the car for the keyfob to work? Will be asking Nissan dealer again at next service.
