Good Morning Guys!

Wife was driving home yesterday(Qashqai 1.5 DCI 2008 J10 k9k engine) and heard something metallic dropping... looked behind, and the pulley was on the floor.

Car still drove back(2 min drive) and everything still running (power steering and so on no lights flashing) and no strange noises

attached are the photos of the pulley.

My question is... can I just change the crankshaft pulley, or could it be the alignments has somehow be damaged because of the serpentine belt skipping a beat.

Or does the serpentine belt (Crankshaft pulley) and the timing belt have nothing to do with each other apart from the crankshaft making the pulley turn.

Serpentine belt is still on and will check if it also needs changing.

Is it possible just to take the now only bolt out (haven't taken the wheel off yet to look) and replace with a new crankshaft pulley? Any tips/tricks to block it in place?

thank you very much!

Smonk

This might be relevant (obviously only the crankshaft pulley elements):

The pulley would have been removed and replaced when the timing belt was changed:
