I just recently got a 2015 QQ N-TEC+ and I cant find any information anywhere about this steering issue or if that's just how the car handles.
When I am pulling off the steering is light and very easy to turn the wheel however as I gain more speed the steering wheel gets heavier and turning gets harder, I am curious if this is just how the steering is on this car or if there is some way to change it. It makes it really unpleasant to drive the car as I require to adjust how much strength i am using to turn the wheel depending on the speed.
Every other car I have driven the steering has always felt the same it generally never got heavier with speed sometimes on some vehicle i did notice it but it was not a huge change and still made it okay to drive, however in this car i cant feel confident taking some turns because the steering stiffness keeps changing and doesn't feel right.
Steering gets heavier

In the menus/settings, make sure you don't have it set to sport steering mode.

Its called progressive power steering, light at slow speed and progressively heavier at higher speeds. It is fitted to most cars to help to keep the car stable at high speeds. If yours is getting very heavy it may be a pump fault developing.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.
Pump ?
aren't these models electric PAS with a servo motor ?
