Thanks for that Gloucester much appreciated , will have a read. Yes I did try opening all the doors and they were locked ok (will double check the boot) although I’m sure I did it’s I did see somewhere if a lock mech was damaged it may give rise to an alarm .... cheers

Hi all... and if this if any worth ... I eventually traced water ingress to the rear of the car. Removing the tailgate sstruts I could see that water was coming down inside the rear of the shell of the car. Probably also the tailgate itself. I have silicones up the tailgate hinges and the high level brake light. No more water in car , spurious errors seem to have calmed including exhaust throttle valve. 5 beeps from alarm unit also gone , however stop have issues with random it seems ‘communication’ led setting of of the alarm. Engine will start then alarm goes off etc .... one step forward I guess ... the misses says for god sake change the car !!!!
