Driving along the motorway and the vehicle loses speed slowly, no warning lights, no more than 25 mph, off the road ASAP and stop the engine. Re-start the engine and all good, 10 mins later lose speed again with numerous orange lights and 'Chassis Control' fault. Plug in the OBD reader and it comes up with P0404 which I believe is an issue with the EGR valve. My plan is to locate it, remove it and hopefully clean it, the problem is I can't find it.........firstly any ideas where I should start and secondly is it easy to remove. Any help much appreciated. p.s. it is the 2015 1.6 petrol turbo J11 model (hope thats correct).

There's an online workshop manual for the J11 - check out https://cardiagn.com/nissan-qashqai-mod ... ir-manual/

I usually find it's easier to download rather than to browse thorough on screen.

First posting from you for over a year - the rest of the car must be performing well!

Cheers for that.
The rest of the car is performing well, only a minor hiccup last year when one of the wires to an ABS sensor had corroded. Another success for the OBD reader, went to investigate the sensor it suggested and one of the two wires fell away as I unplugged the wiring loom to the sensor. Phoned around and told the only solution from Nissan was a whole new loom (surprise surprise) so we just took the plug apart and soldered it back again :-)

Further update to my engine problem. Just thought I would plug the OBD in again to make sure there were no further codes before starting anything and unfortunately there were. Not only does it display P0400 but i've also got P0098 (IAT2 sensor circuit high) and P0235 (Turbocharger/supercharger boost sensor A circuit). Hope someone out there has any ideas where I can start and if necessary any recommendations for any Nissan specialist garages in Shropshire that don't charge the earth
