Can’t help with the size but Nissan fit Bose speakers in the doors of the Tekna model, so that could be a starting place.

Cheers Mike , I think they stopped fitting the Bose speakers after a certain point in the QQ - I could be wrong, if i I’ve got Bose speakers in this vehicle than to say I’m disappointed with the sound is an understatement. Basically they sound C**p - hence why I want to change them.

My Tekna has Bose speakers and sub-woofer - completely wasted on me I must admit

6.5 inch speakers, front and rear. The fronts will have separate tweeters too so ideally you'd get a set of 'component' speakers which have the tweeter separate from the main speaker for better positioning options. You'll also need speaker adaptors like these from Connects2 in order to mount the main speakers https://connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CT25NS02
As for brands, it depends on budget. Focal are good but pricey, Vibe are more affordable but also very good. I just fitted a set of Vibe Slick 6 (£60ish) to my j10 and they sound great on the standard headunit, although it's really underpowered to drive them properly. You'll find that with most aftermarket speakers - the sound will be better, but the standard head unit won't give you much thump unless you crank up the bass level or the volume.

Cheers Hill - would these speakers be ok for the front and back ? I don’t have great knowledge of car speakers myself.

They would work in the rear just fine, and you could fit them in the front if you're not confident about fitting speakers with separate tweeters. If you're feeling confident (it's not hard, bit takes more time and thought) then fit these at the front https://www.halfords.com/technology/car ... 55180.html

£55 seems expensive to my mind, it'll take them an hour at most. If you do get them to fit, make sure you test a variety of music before you drive away - rattles and vibrations will present themselves at different frequencies, and really after a professional fitting you shouldn't expect any except possibly at very high volumes. Try some stuff with a lot of bass, even if it's not your usual taste!
