Good morning all,

I am a newbie here so please be gentle.

I have a 2010 1.5 Deisel and recently it has started to make a whine on acceleration and then again on deceleration, could this be a sign that the turbo is about to give up on me?

So far I have not encountered any loss of power, smoke from the exhaust or any engine lights come on so I'm hoping that I am just being paranoid but thought it best to throw this out to the hive mind that is this forum.

You can check youtube for turbo checks.
I think your issue may be something else, but that needs to be checked by mechanic… it’s hard to diagnose noise in this forum….

I have a recently purchased 2017 Qashqai Tekna 1.2 Turbo and I am getting a slight hissing sound when pressing accelerater during driving and it releases back to neutral position.

It almost sounds like a vacuum hiss, unsure if it's linked to turbo.

Did mention to my local Nissan dealer who said no fault found but didn't confirm the noise is present or not so not sure if a full enough inspection was done or not.
