Not sure to be honest @QaiFan which things use the data plan on my iPhone or, as @ilkka has mentioned, maybe it’s the built-in SIM?

There’s just a tiny red LED which lights up on the key fob when you press one of the buttons:

@Sandgrounder does your app work to unlock/lock, sound horn etc? I'm in the app etc but none of the remote services work.

Hello @mjogreen,

I couldn’t get the NissanConnect App to work at first. I got in touch with Nissan Customer Services and, over the course of 3-4 days and several emails, their final suggestion was to disable “dark mode” on my iPhone and to try again.

Disabling dark mode worked, for some reason, and I now have full access to everything the app has to offer.

A few hours later, I received an email confirming the subscription had been activated for each individual “package”.

Do you really get 7 years Breakdown cover?

There’s no mention of breakdown cover in the app itself although I did notice there is an icon to contact the Nissan breakdown team via the TomTom Live SatNav screen, which presumably relays all necessary information via the built-in SIM card?

There is also a dedicated Emergency Call Button too:

I might be confusing Breakdown Cover ( as in RAC ) with Breakdown Assistance ( as in SOS button ) which now makes sense.

Thank you. I've already had that same email, and I have been able to open the app and look around the app but none of the remote services work. (Interestingly enough, I just tried to open the app in dark mode and it didn't open until I turned dark mode off!)

But nevertheless, I'm in the app and none of the remote services like unlocking the phone etc works. I'll contact Nissan...

Do your remote services work and everything as expected?

All I get is the following screen with the spinning circle, bottom right.

I haven’t seen that screen requesting a security code before although I haven’t tried unlocking the car with my iPhone.

I have tried using the “lights” remote function and that worked without a security code. I will have to try the other remote features to see if I need to input a code. 🤔

I’ve also been able to send directions to the SatNav from the app and also a couple of alerts, e.g. curfew.

The only code I had to enter was the 6-digit pairing code, dozens of times until it worked!

Can you access the vehicle health information?

Locking/unlocking needs a security code set. I had to do that as well on android. If you haven't done that before, click create/reset security code and follow the instructions.
