Hi All,
New to this, so forgive the layman type description.
Just bought 2018 Qashqai Techna, the current MPG seems to work fine on the display, but the miles to empty drop like a stone on when I start up. Just dip 2 miles and it dropped 10 miles.
Am I worryinging over nothing?
Thanks

You will also notice that, during a long steady run, the distance to empty will initially increase as the average mpg increases

cold start will always indicate a higher use of fuel - consider the choke on cars of old

The distance to empty is calculated on the current fuel consumption, at start off, cold engine probably near 10mpg. As you drive farther and the engine warms up, you will also notice the MPG increasing and hence distance to empty may also increase.
