Left hand Indicators turn on with dipped headlights

When I turn on my headlights, the left hand indicators (front, side and rear) all light up but don’t flash when left hand indication is made. With sidelights only, the don’t turn on, but when indicator is turned on they flash along with the dipped headlights (front & rear). right hand indicators work fine. Any ideas where to start?

I would check a common earthing point - costs nothing.
Electricity will always follow the easiest route , and sometime this throws up odd problems

Thank you for your response. My car maintenance ignorance is about to show through! What is the easiest way to go about this and what would I be looking for?

I don't recall this particular issue coming up before.

You have said what happens when you put the hazards on?

When I turn on the hazards, the rear lights flash too!
