Does anyone else feel like they've been screwed by nissan? My timing chain has failed, there is obviously a known fault, as shown in the many posts of the subject here so ....... why haven't they don't a recall. This seems pretty shady. So I am now out of warranty and they with a buggered up car and will loose money.

Also how do I check using my VIN if mine was one of the dodgy batch. Surely they can't just push this under the carpet.

I can get it fixed and sell it on but that is morally wrong and I don't want to pass the buck to someone else as that wouldn't be fair.

We buy any car have offered me 7k which is way below the valuation.

So either way I am stuck with a buggered up car. Any advice???

Thanks, I've seen it and my car is one of the numbers listed. Let's see what they can do. Still feel like they've kept very quiet on this. When my previous car had a recall they wrote to me. They obviously didn't want to cause a scene but in doing so have left me and my two young daughters with a dangerous car, not impressed with Nissan at all. I thought I was buying a quality car that was safe and would last for years.

The people who sold you this car must have known about this issue at the time the car was sold to you!
Hopefully you can still get it fixed.
