Reversing camera not working

Hi all

I apologise if this has been asked before.
I have a 2013 qashqai 360 and over the last couple of days I have lost the reversing camera.
If I put the car in reverse I have no reversing lights on either side and the image doesn't appear on the head unit.

If i press the camera button I get the standard 360 view and front camera then the passenger side view as expected.

I have checked the fuse and even swapped with another to no avail.
Unfortunately I'm away and have no access to my tools

Any pointers would be appreciated

Where your reversing lights don't work I suspect the camera won't either. The switching of the rear camera is a little complicated. A 10 Amp fuse in the IPDM powers the reversing lights from a reversing switch. That switch is connected to the Gear Stick thus on R select the power should light the reversing lights and bring the camera on. I hope?

Non-technical me thinks the reversing light switch has failed and the camera's not realising the car's in reverse. As calnorth suggested

Are you saying you do not get an All Around View on CAMERA button press? Or what exactly

I get nothing, camera wont come on when in reverse or when button is pressed, just stays on the radio screen? Tried to reset head unit still same

I don't know the problem but there are likely error codes recorded (DTCs) on the car....and need examination.

For a completely blank camera display, surely you first of all check the wiring? A connector may have dropped off either the camera or the ICE.

This comes under the Driver Assistance System. And within that system there exists the Around View Monitor Control Unit which manages all cameras. As I said above there are fault codes likely raised which need examining. Its guesswork without the code check.
