I have a 2103 qashqai with a connect 1. When i plug in my usb stick it does not always pick it up and i have to keep unplugging and plugging back in and eventually it finds it. Does anyone else have this problem. Thanks.

Have you tried another USB stick?

Have you carefully examined the socket for any dust or debris?

I have the same problem with my 2019 car...

Tried doing a software update via USB and all I get is a "Check ipod or USB" error..

Doesn't matter if I put a USB stick in, formatted to either FAT32 or NTFS, I still get the same error..

Yet, if I stick in a USB stick with MP3 files on it - it'll play them quite happily..

Been in to ask my local dealer, and they say that I shouldn't be able to do updates by USB* - and that there's NOTHING wrong with it...

*The ONLY way to do updates (according to dealer) is by WiFi.

I've tried that, and it says no updates for either Software or Maps..

Software version = 0821
Map version = 15041_0_10

I've done 2 map updates since I had it via USB, and the map updater software on the Nissan site.
However, on the last update it threw up an error and rebooted the system - since then, I've had the "USB error" problem.

Is there a way to TOTALLY reset the radio to nothing in there, I've tried doing the "Return all settings to default" to no avail.

I know this reply is really late but for anyone reading in the future, I think pressing down the power down volume button for 10secs does a hard reset. I updated to 0821 but had Bluetooth connection issues during calls since then. Contacted my dealer for advice.
