Sandgrounder, once i n a while I get results like that too.
Those MPG are plain bogus ... a CPU or tank glitch or similar.
No way an MHEV QQ (like mine) can get +70 MPG en a 1 mile trip !

You can get that ridiculous numbers if the engine is already warm and you go downhill

I have just downloaded the FUELLY app, I used it on my previous car (Mazda 6 2.2 Diesel). Just entered the first fill up, so will have to wait for the next refuel to see what the true calculated consumption is.

I don't rely on fuel amount on fill up but rather on low fuel level warning, cause I think its a more precise event. I take note of the mileage when low fuel light appears (D1) and of the amount on fuel I put (F), not necessarily filling up the tank. Then, when low fuel light appears again at mileage (D2) consumption is simply: (D2-D1)/F.
I have to say that consumption indicated by the computer is extremely accurate: last time it said 17.6 Km/l and my calcualtion was 17.58 km/l.

I've had mine 12 days, I've done 800 miles (roughly 450 on the motorway) and I've averaged 33mpg

The car it's replaced (2019 Mercedes C220d Coupe) averaged 49mpg

My Transit Custom gets better mpg than the QQ

Had the J12 6 months now. N-Connecta 158 X-Tronic.
Currently only getting 29mpg with a mixture of mainly town driving with a weekly motorway trip thrown in. Driving style is pretty sedate (a bit Driving Miss Daisy).
Seriously disappointed to be honest. I got better out of my previous car which was a 17 year old 1.6 Mazda 3. Journies consisted of going to work and back (7 mile round trip).
Best I've had is 48 mpg but that was a long stint on the motorway in mainly eco setting.
I sometimes wonder if the mild hybrid system is working 🙄.

Waiting a little and going for the e-power would have been a better option with lots of town driving if fuel economy is important to you.

MPG does improve over time. But what petrol engine is economical in town?

I’ve gone through loads of fuel so I aren’t sure if my driving style is differed to when I had the J11 in diesel. Either way, it’s costing a fortune. I’ve had it 2 weeks and done 450 miles to £100. Just put 40 in it today and only got 200 miles for it 😩
Same here, and a little disappointed, I'm getting around 40MPG driving mostly on the motorway. I may be forced to use ECO mode more often :(

The stated combined figure for MPG is early to mid 40s. So you're getting what the car should deliver on average. But all these thing depend on your journey type, your driving style, the load in the car, the weather etc etc.
