Quite unexpected. I always have lower consumption in ECO, but I have a manual, and maybe it matters.

Drove about 80 miles on Sunday, to and fro to my local RSPB.
Best economy yet but only just over 53mpg

Does anyone know if you can change the fuel economy and drive computer to lifetime as opposed to from start which just gives the current journey?
Also from the menus how do you find out the lifetime mpg of you car?

Only had mine 5 days so still learning........

Page 82 of Owner's Manual. In practice, the average fuel consumption SINCE RESET is the only one which is not automatically resetted at every trip or refuel. So, if it has never been resetted, it should give the average consumption since the beginning.

My everyday roads (home-office-home) are hilly and ECO mode was (is) not pleasant to use. But i have a feeling that also hybrid system work a bit better (probably due to standard drive mode) because it works pretty similar like in marketing material.....offers quite good coasting and some good pulling on easy acceleration (albeit only for few seconds). So, my everyday average home-office-home dropped from 6,1L/100km to 5,7L/100km. Also on motorway (driving 120km/h) i saw yesterday similary reduced average. I am satisfied.

6.1 Litres per 100 km = 46.31 MPG

5.7 Litres per 100 km = 49.56 MPG

60% on suburban roads at 90 km/h (56 mph)
25% on highways at 120 km/h (75 mph)
15% urban.
Mostly in ECO mode and using standard cruise control. Very satisfied.
With half tank left you still got over 300 miles remaining? That's amazing, I think I get that range with full tank!

It's all about how you manage the gas pedal. If you let electronics to do the job by using cruise control you feed the engine with just the right amount of fuel, not more.

I’ve said before, my absolute best result is 53.3mpg

I did a 500 mile round trip yesterday on motorways and fast A roads and country roads and according to the computer my overall average speed was 52mph.
Again, going from the computer, my overall fuel consumption was 42mpg.
In my 2019 Tekna it would have been much nearer 50mpg if not a little more.
