Hi. First Post.

I have searched the forum and cannot find the answer.

I recently bought a 2017 1.6dci tekna, I have the front sensor beeping all the time in wet weather, I have seen the posts regarding drilling a hole in the sensor. The fault is drivers corner so not 100% sure if it's the front or side sensor.

Where do you drill the hole in the sensor or would I be better getting a new sensor but which one, side or front as the sensor display is just the corner.

Thanks.

Welcome to this forum.

I've not heard of drilling the sensor !?!?!

Surely you want a proper fix?

Try swapping the sensors around (if you can get at them - possibly having taken the undertray off? Never had to try myself)

I have definitely read about Nissan drilling holes in parking sensors as a temporary fix for 2014 QQs. I think there were a bad batch of sensors which ultimately needed replacing under warranty. I have a 1.5 Dci NConnecta (2017) and I haven't had any issues with sensors so possibly one of yours has got a broken seal allowing water ingress. I presume the sensors on the front and possibly rear are all the same and you could swap them around to find the culprit as mentioned earlier. Alternatively I would seek out an auto electrician to diagnose the fault which will be cheaper than a visit to Nissan unless you have warranty cover on the car. Best of luck, please let us know how you get on.
