Last night my heater blower wouldn't work. Well, it did for 2 seconds then defaulted to speed 1. Today it was working fine (although 'pulsing' fast, slower, fast, slower) until I turned it down then it was back to defaulting to speed 1. Is this the resistor/transistor failing? I get the impression this is a common fault with these buckets of bolts.

Similar issue here, I can have it set to full bars on the screen (first thing in the morning) to demist/defrost. Works ok for a minute or two, then no fan whatsoever.
Very little heat from the vents.
Has now happened four times since Christmas Eve.
Car going in on 27th for investigating.
Sorry, can't help you with what's going on with both your car or mine but I can update the post once the Dealership has had a look.

Everything I've read in here indicates it MAY be the resistor failing,.just looking for some informed confirmation or rebuttal I guess. Seems the hardest part about fixing it is getting one. No one seems to have any, except maybe Nissan who'll probably want £100 for it plus £150 to change it knowing them. Hope you get yours sorted

Since buying the car 9 months ago, it's had a new heater matrix, blower motor, aircon recharge and now this issue.
TBH the Nissan Dealership have been fantastic and luckily everything that has gone wrong has been replaced under warranty, thank goodness we had a free extended warranty, I would hate to tally up the cost of everything replaced, investigation and fitting charges so far.
I still think the QQ is a really good car, unfortunately they can tend to be a wee bit fragile in places though. Some owners are really lucky and suffer little or no problems, but like me some purchase a Friday afternoon car.

I feel the same. I've had a rear parking camera go (replaced under warranty), battery fail (should have been a recall but I was never told, replaced under warranty), a "grinding noise" from the gearbox found at service that they then claimed couldn't be found when Nissan head office agreed to do the investigation under warranty even though I was 3 months out of warranty, an Aircon recharge (at my own expense), and now this. Never had even half of these problems with any other car I've had.

I have the same issues... unfortunately nissan have a bigger issue as they stopped selling the resistor 4months ago... i called again today and nissan still haven't fixed the problem so the part is still not available. It would be 110+ vat just for the part!!

The supplier has changed and they have a n issue with the new part where it works on all speeds except for max, we are told to fit a new one even though it doesn't work on max speed and nissan will update details of what to do when the new part is available

Think i have a similar problem, fast demist button puts fan on max for a few seconds, then stops, until dropping the fan speed down one, and works fine, only had the car 5 days, registered 2021.

This sounds very much like the same problem I've got with my 2017 Qashqai.

Did anyone get any further forward with an alternative resistor if Nissan stopped selling the original one? Or did Nissan come back with a recommended part?
