I've recently bought a J11 QQ with the 1.5 dci in manual. When I picked it up I partial filled it from about quarter tank to around half so I could get it home, before running it down and this morning I've just done my first fill until full.
The predicted range has come up as 582 miles. I know the previous owner mainly drove around town so only got about 35mpg typically. But with myself spending most time on the motorway for my commute, can I expect this range to go up as the car gets used to my type of driving? I'd hope to get more than that range from a tank.

Sounds about right.
Tank capacity is about 12 gallons so assuming that's only about 11 gallons usable and at 50mpg that's 550miles.
What sort of consumption were you expecting.

Ignore manufacturer's figures which at this period were always wildly optimistic. No change of the claimed 50mpg for my 1.2 Dig-T - I averaged 34mpg.
As Autocar relates for the diesel:
Most buyers will opt for diesel, too, and the continued refining of the 1.5 dCi means its 99g/km and 74.3mpg claimed figures are class leading. Typically, we couldn’t repeat Nissan’s quotation in the real world, but 55.7mpg on a tour and 48.6mpg overall are impressive figures.
Hence I'd suggest a commuting figure of around 50mpg, maybe a smidge more? Depends how busy it is at each end - and the traffic.

I'd be happy with mid-50s, on the basis of most of my commute being on the motorway and hearing of a few owners "easily" getting 60+ for this type of driving. I'll run it down again and see what I get, just wasn't sure if there might be a time delay as the car's computer gets used to my driving, and also as it's still fairly cold this will have an effect too no doubt.gloucester wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 8:56 am Sounds about right.

just filled mine up yesterday normally it`s 630miles on the display, that will change on how you drive on normal roads or motorways. i`ve had mine over 700miles last year in the summer. get yourself a few bottles of injector cleaner and pour 1 bottle in every few months with a full tank.paulngui wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 9:15 amI'd be happy with mid-50s, on the basis of most of my commute being on the motorway and hearing of a few owners "easily" getting 60+ for this type of driving. Update: drove home, after which my range had increased to 591 miles, on top of the 31 I'd travelled since filling. Will be interested to see how far I get on my first full tank.

I always get over 50 mpg out of mine, even in the winter. With the current price of diesel and staying around 60 mph on open roads I can easily get 60 mpg out of it.
