But lead times are 3 months minimum so doesn't mean they've built any yet.

Agreed. But seems like I'm getting my Qashqai 2 months after ordering. It was on backlog last month but they said delivery in 2 weeks but agreed doubt I'll be getting the new system it's reserved for the 72 plate at least.hootintootin wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 7:20 amBut lead times are 3 months minimum so doesn't mean they've built any yet.

If they remove the current physical buttons for example then that would be a retrograde step in my opinion.
There ARE buttons - look at the photos in this topic.
My Ignis has no buttons at all - even volume is an onscreen slider (plus the steering wheel controls). Looks very elegant though.

I expect the 12.3 system to be better.
The new UI, as I have seen it in videos about the Ariya and QQ e-power look way more colorfull and crisp !
I, personally, wouldn't mind losing some physical buttons ... as long as I still enjoy those seperate AC controls.
Those -now old- 8/9" QQ graphics look worse to me than those of most 2010 UI infotainment systems in other cars.

The best for all us is to wait and ask our dealers about the cost to install the new infotainment system.
If the cost is about 1000€ ok it worths but if is about 4000€ ( in my GLA250 4matic, Merc asked for these money) no, I believe that I will stay with the old one.

Ignis and elegant are two words not often seen in the same sentence - well done you're the first.

@contor ... 1000 euro ? ... but that 4000 euro is more likely.
Something like 1000 euro is only possible if the dealership would consider this to be some kind of a trade-in.
We'll have to wait and see, indeed.

I'm glad I've given you some hilarity - but it's nice and simple don't you think?:

On this video you can watch some details of the new x-trail with the new nissan infotainment system. As you can see at the 7:30 the graphics that it uses for the camera for example are the old one so it’s sure that we could fit it on our models but if i will not have something new with better resolution or new graphics it’s not necessary for me.

Contor, thanks for the xtrail video link!
It looks like the new infotainment screen is better, but the new infotainment user interface seems a mismatch with the digital dashboard UI.
The 9 inch infotainment screen UI looks more consistent with the UI of the 12.3 inch digital dashboard.
But we have seen only a bit of it, the new UI might be an improvement as well!??
