Morning Qaifan!
I agree that a car MY2022 has to have the wireless android auto as standard.
I can’t answer to others questions cause I didn’t see it live yet.
I asked my dealer here in Greece and the answer that I took is that it ll be possible to set in the place of the older but they weren’t sure if the cost worths it.

Interestingly when you compare the old and new displays you notice that maybe the new unit was intended to be used all along.

Look how the old unit doesn't actually fit the recess provided in the dashboard and they've had to design a chrome insert to disguise this fact:

... whereas the new unit fits perfectly - as was always intended it would!

That's a bit annoying they skimped out on the 22 plate Qashqais with the 9" systems. On Nissan website I believe for around 1 and half months now they're advertising from N Connecta upwards the 12" infotainment system.

Even though I ordered in March and car was only being build couple weeks ago and getting delivered in 2 weeks, I doubt I'll get the new 12". The 12" UI looks much better than the current one.

@contor. Upgrading from 9" to 12.3" is indeed probably an option ... technically.
But I guess it will be that expensive that I, personally, would rather trade-in my car for a later model ... maybe even go for the e-power version.

I mentioned the 'gap' at the dealership when I pre-ordered the car, now more than 1 year ago.
The 12.3 inch infotainment system does indeed fit perfectly ... the 9" was an odd, too small, choice all along !
Not much we can do about it ... even if you have a car still on order I doubt they will be prepared to make the change !?

It is NOW but for a short while it was unavailable - not even an option. Chip shortages cited as the reason. All documented on here somewhere but I couldn't find it in a quick search.

I would like to know how much it would cost to upgrade any j12 with this 12.3 inch infotainment screen!
Maybe more than the screen itself needs to be replaced!??

Classic Nissan.
I would expect any change to be really complicated (just like trying to change the system in a J11a to that of a J11b)
March '22 - J12 1.3DIG-T 160 CVT Tekna+ with all wheel drive - Pearl Black
July '19 - J11B 1.3DIG-T 160 DCT Tekna - Vivid Blue
March '17 - Qashqai J11A 1.5dci n-connecta - gunmetal
September '14 - Juke 1.5dci gunmetal ascenta premium (red accent packs)

That's a question best directed at a dealer when the new screens arrive on these shores. However not having scene one in the flesh I don't know whether it is an improvement or not. Bigger didn't always mean better. If they remove the current physical buttons for example then that would be a retrograde step in my opinion.
