I am not. I just don't know what tyres to get seeing as maybe selling the car next year. I am on a tight budget and can't afford hi range tyres. So just asking for advice on cheaper versions of tyres

Thanks not for all the help. Will leave this website.

We gave you help you chose chose to ignore it and constantly coming back with the same scenario over various crap tyres that no one is interested in or even heard of.
It is the equivalent of asking someone at a bar to recommend you a type of beer that that have never heard or tasted, completely pointless.

... are all season tyres really necessary in the UK up North West haha.

That's obviously a question I've asked myself in the past living down here. I live on an A road so it's snowploughed - most of the time.

The only time I had a problem with my Qashqai was getting up the short slope of my drive off the road. I've not had a problem with the Ignis

But I thought I'd try them - and in any case the tread pattern is MUCH nicer! :)
How are you finding the all season so far? Think am going to take the plunge and get some Avon AS7 all seasons.

Thought you said you were leaving - glad you made a choice - and a known brand too

Well it's either Avon or Rotalla All Season. Which you think the better? Rotalla are the cheaper option.

Avons .....
and if you fit them, and sell the car - the buyer will see that you care and is more likely to pay a decent price

I've only had them fitted this afternoon - and driven back through town from the fitting depot.

They sound different, but then the old ones were nearly worn out so that's not surprising. There was less of a "thump" going over road ridges but then when I got home and checked the pressures I found they were 34/33 instead of 36/32.

I'm driving 20 miles to get it serviced tomorrow so that might be a more valid experience - especially if it's raining (though that's unlikely).

All season tyres vs summer tyres are well documented. They vary by brand and model not surprisingly. They tend to give more grip (including on snow) and improved braking in the winter months than a summer tyre would. There is always a but...... there's likely be some reduction in performance over the summer months...you can't have it both ways.

I have all season tyres on all my cars but I live in the wilds of the north.
