Boot fuse

My boot has suddenly stopped opening, I have managed to open it from the inside but nothing is happening when pressing the button. Does anyone know where the fuse is for the boot release?

I suspect there isn't a separate fuse for this function.
Could be loose connection(s), broken/fractured wire(s) or failure of either switch or release mechanisms.
