Hi all,
We picked up our new qashqai n connecta xtronic on Friday
It had 8 miles on the clock now has 76.
When I drove it out of the showroom I heard a noise from the rear brakes like you would if the discs had rust on them,
I was told it would be dirt on the discs from assembly and it would stop by the time I got home.
It's still doing it now, more so in reverse, will this noise stop or should I be calling the dealer Monday morning?
Thanks
Noisy brakes

Have a look at your discs, if they are still a little rusty they will make noise, you need to get the discs shiny with no rust. If you already have this, it may be worth talking to the dealers, they should make little or no noise when braking.

I've always had a strange sound from the brakes, especially noticeable with the windows down. When I'm in a queue in traffic and just creeping is when I hear it most.
Sounds like someone saying 'shh' only way I can describe it
All four discs are in virtually new condition even with 40k use. Rust free, minimal lip on front discs and No effect on braking.
On my last visit to Nissan they said all four discs were in extremely good condition.
Only thing that I can think off is a small amount of pad transfer on the disc, sometimes I do notice a ghosting of the pad on the metal, I'm not one for sitting with my foot on the brake pedal when at standstill, use the handbrake and always take the car for a short drive after a wash to help dry the brakes off.
I've kind of got used to the noise and knowing it isn't anything serious I'm fine with it.

Good evening
I have now had genuine nissan parts put on my car and still i have the squealing sound once the brakes get up to temperature, nissan have advised they can look at it mid november for an initial assessment. Any ideas of why after 2 new sets of pads all round new dics all round im still getting noises??
