Remove Roof Rails from Qashqai J11 Reg Apr2016

Can anyone please help or advise how to remove the Roof Rails on my J11 Qashqai N-Connecta.

I removed the end cap and damaged a yellow clip in the process, hope to get a bag of clips from nice Nissan 8-)

Once the cap was off I expected to see some way of removing the rail - but I'm stumped.

Please see below pictures, any advice would be helpful.

You need to drop the headlining - there is an online repair manual to help

How did you remove the end caps off the rails please, looking to replace mine as the finish on them has started to bubble/splinter?
