Hi
My aircon hasn't worked for a few years. I put off paying for a replacement due to cost, but now due to global warming I'm going to have to bite the bullet. Has anyone from the Tyne & Wear area of the UK had a replacement by a third party company and at what cost. Anyone know the current Nissan dealer cost for replacement? TIA.

The best advice I can offer is to search for a local reputable air conditioning specialist (as opposed to a garage that tinkers with Air Con, or Halfords or Kwik Fit)
Ask friends, neighbours, family or even your local facebook group

New condenser around £110. Gas refill £100. And how every much they charge to fit one

Google a specialist air con for your area. The factory fitted condensers are crap. I live in the Bristol area, no help for you , and I used a specialist. They are usually very knowledgeable and usually fit a decent condenser

That's exactly what I've done, recommended by a fellow Qashqai owner. He's coming to house in two weeks time. Will bring a replacement condenser and will do a pressure test, £300 including re-charge. Fingers that's the problem?

Mine was £350 a couple of years ago, but the gas alone was £135 of that, make sure your guy puts the correct gas in or you'll need a new compressor in a few months.

Mine was done under warranty but I think it would have been about £400 at a Nissan dealer in 2018.
