Really hoping someone can help save my family a lot of money!

We have a Qashqai 1.3Dig-t 160 Connecta 68 plate with a faulty windscreen camera unit which is overheating. The dealers have just diagnosed it (for £100) and said a new camera unit will be £900 and a similar cost to fit and calibration.

I’ve found one on eBay for £70 same model and year and I’ve had a quote of £259 to calibrate it from a reputable high street chain. It seems easy to swap the units over but I don’t know if it is ‘plug and play’ or is there any software / programming work that needs doing to integrate it?

Does any one know or has anyone any experience of doing one themselves?

Some good advice in that he sets out you can swap cameras, but they also need to be programmed. So I guess it’s a gamble! Unless someone can mend the camera we have an identify why it’s overheating. 🤔🤔🤔🤞
