Hello everybody.
I have recently bought a Nissan Qashqai 2016 1.5 diesel. Just realised that 1 of the wheel bolts at the front is missing therefore I have investigated all 4 wheels. And turned out that front wheels do not have locking bolts at all when the rear do have them. But the problem is that I can not find the locking wheel nut anywhere. Contacted the previous owner and he is not sure about this.
What were your ways of taking the locking wheel bolts off?
I already have a new set including the nut on order but need to get rid of the old ones from the rear before.
Thanks for any suggestings.
Lost locking wheel nut
any good garage will be able to remove the rear locking nuts no problem for you. i guess you have looked in the usual places for the old locking nut. glove box, centre console, boot spare wheel area
Yes, have looked everywhere. Youtube has gave a few ideas but the locking wheel nut looks to be very wide. A 21 spanner will not fit over the nut head.
The 21" socket is not ment to be a good fit as they needed to be hammerd on so tight fit then can be removed with locking nut.

I have a few special sockets that I use as and when the need arises on people's cars, there are some relatively cheap ones on eBay that are decent, Screwfix also do a half decent kit(if I remember correctly), it won't take you long, qq ones are fairly simple to get off if memory serves.
You can always go with the next size down and hammer them onto the locking wheel nut then hopefully remove, this will probably ruin the socket that you use after a few attempts though but will work, I use mine couple of times a year generally and so have the kids that I have found work better than sockets.
Good luck.
