it will have etched on the glow plug the 11v or 4.4v

The company that sold me the plugs have just emailed me back saying they are 11 volts iv also managed find out that the nissan ones are 11 volts so I'm guessing it's something else wrong with it Might end up just chucking it into the garage for them to try figure it out

what is the code reader showing up now then have you cleared all codes

glo-plugs or glo-plug relay after doing a quick search online matey.
does the car start and run ok with the new plugs in ?

What the P0381 code means. P0381 is the OBD-II generic code for a glow plug/heater indicator circuit malfunction. The glow plug system, found in diesel vehicles, helps to provide heat in order to start the engine in cold temperatures.

Ummm it didn't start very well this winter had to let the glow plug light go out a few times it kinda runs ok but can sometimes idle abit rough but not all the time

I'd be tempted to replace the heater relay next. Used one in the last link i posted. Brand new around £47.
With the state of the old glow plugs no wonder it didn't idle too good

My brother has got 2 cheap scan tools so.i went to see him after work this is what's come up

The fuel p0089 i'd replace your fuel filter 1st if you don't know when it was last done now is the time. It may clear the problem for you

The fuel filter was the first thing the popped into my head iv got a brand new comline one at my work I'm not going to mess with it any more for now I've got abit of a road trip over the weekend it's not cutting out or anything so I'm gonna leave it but don't worry I just upgraded my RAC package to nearest garage or or take me home lol...
