Hi guys, I’m a bit of a newbie here so bear with me.
On my J10 the red brake warning light is staying on. I’ve checked the fluid level and it’s way above minimum. The light does brighten when I pull the handbrake on. My question is do the brake pads have a wear limit sensor? I couldn’t see one but can’t see what else could be causing the light to stay on? Any ideas welcome, cheers.

brake pads start to make an awful noise when there running low thats the warning. have you had the pads looked at to see if there due to be replaced. also have you had a code reader on car to see if any codes are are stored in the system

I’m having the same issue. Light stays on for a day then stays off for up to a couple of weeks before staying on again. Going in for a service in a couple of weeks but Nissan want an extra £120 just to plug in their computer to check for fault codes. When the light is staying on and then I apply the handbrake the car sits down very slightly on the near side, leading me to think that the calliper on one side isn’t working. 🤷🏼‍♂️

any good garage will do a fee brake check for you and let you know if the caliper is working or not
