It seems that I cannot change my email address. message in red says
"The email address you entered is not allowed to be used"
My email address is a short one ( 15 characters ) and uses top level domain .xyz
I don't want to put it in this post but I can supply it if you would like to PM me. The old email address will shortly be shut down.

Looks like it's one of the problems caused by having an .xyz domain.

I believe xyz domains are heavily used by spammers and have been blocked. I suspect you might get this on lots of other sites too.
